Meet the Bradford South Team

Angela Theabould

District Lead Volunteer

Angela has been actively involved in Scouting since 2014; her journey began as a parent helper at the 20th Bradford South (Low Moor)and progressed through various roles, including Group Scout Leader at the 20th and Training Manager for the District. She is now the District lead Volunteer, which means she heads up the District Leadership Team.

Jaime Armitage

District Programme Lead

Jaime brings a wealth of experience to the table. She has been a dedicated member of the Scouting community since 2015. She has held many roles, from sectional lead to part of the leadership team for one of the World Scout Jamboree Units from West Yorkshire Scouts.

Michael Holroyd

Programme Team

Michael’s Scout journey began at 6 when he joined the 11th Spen Valley as a Beaver. He has held an Adult Volunteer role since he was 18, rocking various roles! He’s the Group Lead Volunteer at 11th Spen Valley, a member of the Bradford South Programme Team, and a Programme Team Lead for Spen Valley District. You’ll also find him leading the troop as the Scout Leader at the 68th Wyke and as the Squirrel Section Team Lead at the 20th Bradford South Scout Group.
But wait, there’s more! Michael is also a Trustee of Bradford South Scout District, Spen Valley Scout District, and the 20th Bradford South Scout Group.
When he’s not camping or tying knots, Michael works as the Technical Director at Core Team One, an IT Security Company. He’s also the behind-the-scenes tech whiz, helping with websites, social media, and IT advice for Spen Valley and Bradford South Scout districts.

Kevin Horner

Programme Team

Kevin has been involved in Scouting since 2012 and currently holds the role of Cub Team Leader at 65th Bradford South. He also has district roles as a member of the district programme team and is the district Trustee Board Chair.

Richard Binns

Programme Team (14-24)

Richard heads up our 14-24-year-old provision (Explorers/Network & Young Leaders) and holds a district role. Richard is the Explorer Leader for Low Moor Explorers

Phil Chadwick

Programme Team

Phil has been involved in Scouting since 1999, primarily at 68th Wyke, where he currently holds the roles of Cub Team Leader and member of the Group Leadership team at the 68th Bfd Sth (Wyke). His district role is to provide help and support to the Bradford South Volunteers who wish to take their young people on global visits after arranging and participating in several himself. Phil also sits on the District Trustee Board.

Stephen Rawlinson

Support Team Lead

Stephen heads up the Bradford South support team, which encompasses the Perception Sub Team and Adult Support Team. Stephen has been involved in Scouting within Bradford South and North since 2017, holding various roles and a County role of ACC Inclusion.

Josie Taylor

Training Manager

Josie started her Scouting journey in 1981. She has held various roles, including Group Lead Volunteer, County Trainer, Trustee Board Member, and Awards Committee Member. Her current role in Bradford South is to ensure all Adult Volunteers maintain the correct standard of Adult Training and to support new volunteers through the first few months of their role. Josie also sits on the District Trustee Board.

Ian Lund

District Nights Away Advisor

Ian has been involved in Scouting since 1966. He has held the role of Group Lead Volunteer 36th Wibsey since 2007 and is currently the district nights away advisor for Bradford South. His role is to ensure all Young people have the opportunity to take part in a safe nights away experience while being members. He will speak to Adults seeking a Nights Away Permit to ensure they are suitable to take Young People Away.
